THE SUMMER OF 12: EVERTON PLAYER TRANSFER RUMOUR THREAD. IN AND OUT.

We're in a good position knowing he has 3 years left on his current deal, and he wont throw a hissy fit to get his own way or force a move.

Anything less than £15m would be a travesty. Realistically, we should be getting £18m AT LEAST for him. The best situation we could hope for is City and United to get into a bidding war for him. I simply wouldn't sell him for anything less than £20m, though.

No we are not because everybody knows we havent got a pot to piss in

Do you think if we had money in the club this 12m fee would be getting banded about?

We all know someone has to leave in the summer to either pay the banks or fund transfers

Who else to you see being sold for a good fee

I meant in context. He could instead be entering the last year of his contract and/or mouthing off to the press forcing a move.

So, compared to when we usually have to sell someone, we're in a good position.

I do get your point

But lets say no other offers come in for our players and Utd say right 12m take it or leave it, What do you think would happen?

£12 million! They're having a ****ing laugh! Especially when Kolarov went to City for £16m, and the ****e blew £17.5m on Johnson.

Leighton Baines has three years left on his current deal & is not the type of personality to rock the boat so Everton in a strong position. @philmcnulty

Everton have had no contact at all as yet from Man Utd about Leighton Baines - not to say they won't but that is the current position.
@philmcnulty

Both on BBC website

I saw Baines yesterday afternoon in town shopping with one of his mates. I know this means sweet fa but he certainly didn't look like he had much on his mind.
