I don't care about ego's, about over paid players, about certain players becoming favourites over better qualified and talented ones.

All I care about is I am English, and just like I want the cricket team, the rugby team and any of the Olympians we have out there, I want them to win. Why? because I am English. I am not Spanish, there isn't a country called Liverpool.

Oh look there goes the bandwagon with all the RS whopper super melts on it, what's that? your English but you'd rather support Spain? WTF???

In my eyes that's treason, and we all know our history on that punishment. Does my [Poor language removed] head in every time I see a whopper come in with a Spain top on.

Well today it does. I know that generally Liverpool fans are not intelligent people. Ok, they support a team that has a good chance of winning trophies. Well it did do in the 70s and 80s - but you know what I mean.

What an easy decision it is to make to be a Liverpool fan, or to look at it another way, what little brainpower is required to follow the sheep and become a Champions League/Gerrard/Torres fan.

Where I work many people decide to sit themselves down at a table and not have the politeness to wait to be seated. And then they get up to pay at a desk by the front door. How many restaurants/eateries are there that require you to pay the bill at the front desk? Well this fuckwit did that today, and he's not alone, but I did notice the spinning RS logo on his phone, so I thought fair does, he's a **** and he's thick - he didn't tip, and that again didn't surprise me.

But last night in the pub I overheard this whopper cheering because England were losing, his brother came in wearing an England top. He then said that the best player England have is Gerrard. [Poor language removed] me? really? wow genius, which [Poor language removed] bag fanzine did you read that in?

Even though Gerrard hasn't had a great game for me since Germany 5-1, but then am I bias too? No not really, I would expect Gerrard to pull his plums off as much as he does for his club for his country. No surprise he's not captain.

Then this lad I work with who is a RS, said he hates England, I asked him if he was English, he said yes. I said why? what's with all the RS wearing Spain tops, and he said he would rather see Spain win than England? Why? because of Torres and Benitez? [Poor language removed] me, I don't want Scotland to win because of Moyes and I don't have a Super Eagles flag for the Yak.

I'm English. Can't imagine many Americans not being patriotic to their countries sportsman, regardless of the dollars they get paid.

True, but if we weren't patriotic through the ages we could be Roman, or Scandinavian. Or even German.
