Evening all..
I've been lurking on here for many a year and thought it would be about time to introduce myself.
I'm from Stockport, probably born closer to the royal blue Mersey than a lot of you
I found GOT through Toffeeweb, of which my uncle is one of the founders/editors (I'm not going to mention any names, for want of incriminating myself!!)
How did I become an Evertonian? - Long story - was brought up (on the maternal side of my family) as an *ahem* liberpool supporter, until in 1994, when Mike Walker was dragging us down, and my arl fella insisted on taking me and our kid to Goodison to "get those blue boys into gear" - versus Arsenal after a dismal start to the season. We drew 1-1, the attendance was 29,003, and as soon as I heard Z-cars, I was hooked for life!
Achieved a bucket list tick on following Everton home and away for a season a couple of years ago. Still gutted about Beckford's last minute miss away to Sunderland - he didn't need to lace it!
All time favourite player? I'd say (controversial) Thomas Gravesen. I always thought he was too good for the side that we had at the time. Honourable mentions of course to Big Dunc, and Tim Cahill, of course.
Current favourite player would have to be... well it can only be John Stones - he's in a different league, isn't he?
As for pineapple on pizza... I'm totally ambivalent. I like all pizza, whatever is served on it, although those BBQ sauce type ones just don't do it for me.
And as for GIF's, I don't mind them during my browsing.
Anyway, hope I can contribute in a positive manner. COYB!!!
