Farcical that this situation can occur though. Villa have to play kids off why forfeit after most of their first team are struck down with Covid. City had a few players out and they were able to postpone the game against us. Even Villa could postpone their next league game but can’t postpone the cup. Utter shambles.

Should just cancel the cup. Been done before.

Im waiting for the Premier League to offer vaccines to the players for the good of public morale as we just can’t cope without watching a few games.

Don't we play Villa next week ? Let's see if that goes ahead, or Villa's next game anyway. Liverpool have had more rest in between games over the Christmas and New Year, now thanks to the FA, they can play an U23 team. Na no corruption at all to see here, let's just move on. Btw earlier in the season Liverpool played a full strength Aston Villa team and were soundly thrashed 7-2, I watched the game and it could have been 12-3.
So the FA will now do their utmost to allow Liverpool to get their "rightfull" revenge. lol

Different squads to that of the PL I think. Not saying there was something going on with our City game, but if there was an outbreak within the City camp, it was the right thing to do imho. Just want the FA/City to tell the truth- but dont think that will happen.

Yeh just bizarre how outbreaks are happening but only some games cancelled.

That genuinely made me laugh last summer when they were banging that particular drum. Football MUST continue because it's the only way that the general public will get through this pandemic!
