Anyone know why all the Cup replays from the weekend are being played this midweek instead of next midweek in keeping with the rule Plod stipulated some years ago?

Diego at his peak, inspiring Argentina in the two World Cups spanning 1988.

And in Europe it was the Holland of Gullitt and Van Basten winning that year’s Euros and Klinsmann, Voeller, Mattias, Brehme et al steered Germany to World Cup glory in 1990.

Mind you most of them played for Milan, who when they added the 3 Dutch maestros after Euro 88, were the best team around and won back to back European Cups.

They are being played on Tuesday 7th in line with Plod rules..

In recent years Plod insisted they took place circa ten days after the first game.

Isn't that what is happening though ? First game was on Friday 27th and replays are on Tuesday 7th ?

I saw them listed for February 7th and and for some reason thought that was tonight :hayee:

Yep, and when those teams faded, the Brazilians pipped them in 94. Somehow they didn't qualify for the 92 Euros, which is a bit mad with the talent they had and their record spanning that tournament
