Potters rise to the top was very short lived.
A bit of a damp squib… a little like one of those piddly little rockets on bonfire night.

And to think some Evertonians were dropping their draws for this fella a short while back.

He’s a dud who probably looked a lot better than he was due to a very good set up at Brighton.
Conversely maybe he's being made to look bad by a very chaotic set up at Chelsea

I think it's rather this. He hasn't chosen all of these players to sign, and to me it's probably quite likely he isn't 100% in control of who plays. Still should be doing better, but it appears to be terribly chaotic. Still, give me chaotic and with a squad full of top quality players who will click sooner or later than soon-to-be-relegation-in-humiliation Everton.

This 100%. When he first went in there and had a fit squad he was getting results fine then the injuries started and was starting to have to play people out of position and they started drawing a few games and losing. I don't care how good some of the players are but their transfer business was chaotic in January, it was totally random names plucked out of a hat and not really what the club needed, Mudryk for example looks at bit lost when he has played, that money should have been used for a striker, there just seems no plan with it. All it's done is lead to a scenario where you have Potter now saying there is too many players at the club, apparently he is saying it's difficult to implement his ideas in training because there are too many players and some are being left standing about each day. Most managers/coaches organise sessions for a 25 man squad (which you expect) not a 30+ like Chelsea.
I guess on a positive note for Potter in a fair few of the recent games they have had most of the possession, most of the chances, and most of the shots but much like us they just can't stick the ball in the back of the net.

Yeah, thankfully EFC saw through this 'dud', instead going for a real gem - Frank Lampard.

.... and the Swedish leagues being weak in comparison.

Loads of possession, nice enough football and the inability to hit a cow's arse with a banjo. Sound's like Potter's Brighton!

Shouldn't have wasted money on unneeded players like Mudryk who didn't really want to go there (wanted Arsenal) and bought a striker instead. The transfer business in January was random names out of a hat, Bohely playing football manager that's all, zero plan to it. that sort of money should have been far better spent. Playing Havertz up top is not going to help either as he is just awful, so much was made of him and Werner when they were signed and they are just awful players, both of them.

Yeah - it's not like they have a proven goal-scorer like Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on the bench!

Anyway, Potter is working with his old recruitment chief at Brighton at Chelsea.

I know he is but so far it's Bohely taking control of everything, overriding people, he is that type of owner and he wants to make an impression. Aubamaeyang, well not for me tbh and I can see why he isn't being included, he is lazy and known to be pretty disruptive at times. What I am surprised at is the young lad they signed David Fofana has looked ok when has had chances and he should be given a bit more game time imo especially over the dreadful Havertz.
