Looking at Leicester's entire set up for that goal is shocking; they've defended the first break and then the keeper has launched it straight back at United.

People talk about teams playing out from the back, but for a counter attacking team like United long kicks from the opponents keeper are a Godsend.

They point-blank cannot play defense. Leaking two every single game dooms a club that is league average for finding the back of the net. They horked up 2 per game to sides that are on pace for less - Chelsea and Southampton - conceded two to one that is scoring well (Brentford) and four to Arsenal.

That's how you come away with one point or none most days out. We've been there, last season during the Benitez slide. Rodgers out seems inevitable in the near future if this continues.

There are a couple of ripples already caused by the winter world cup travesty, basically in a standard season clubs would have been on the first international break around about now. That's classic trigger time for a manager who hasn't pulled out of last season's death spiral.

I think Gerrard would already be gone, if we had an international break. Rodgers is just going through the motions at Leicester, the moment the money dried up he had his excuses ready and is just phoning it in now.

But, to the wider Leicester point it is very unlike them not to have done their business before selling the player they've developed. Usually they have the replacement in the club and safely locked into a long term deal. Fofana was always going to leave, that they seem not to have a replacement already in place speaks to a wider malaise.

They signed Wout Faes today. Looks like he's it.

I agree that Rodgers has one foot out the door, given his comments on the window today. I don't know how much time Gerrard has left, but it can't be a lot unless he turns that ship in a great big hurry. He's at Ferguson's moment of low ebb. Ferguson pulled it out. I don't think Gerrard has enough credibility to get that kind of time, or think he's developed enough as a manager to do it.
