Has an FA Cup to his credit at Leicester, which is a legit accomplishment to be fair. The back-to-back final day fades on CL qualification are a significant indictment of his ability to motivate players to win the big one.

Ah, yeah, I genuinely forgot that, wasn't trying to strengthen my hand by omitting it. I scanned the Premier League website and pulled the info from there.

Ok, I'll concede the FA Cup win, yeah - I would speak to an FA Cup winning manager, provided they weren't connected to the Orcs. But, that's another route we tried.

Perhaps it's us, after all. We're beyond managing.

In our current situation, we would kill to be in the top 4 race till the final matchday.

The last FA Cup winning manager from a lesser side didn't work out so well. You're within your rights to say, "Lucker." It matters, but it's not a titan's CV.

Recruitment here has been daft since at least Walsh's first window, when we brought in Gueye and DCL for peanuts. Walsh then took a couple big cuts at the plate and missed in the winter (though at least we profited on Lookman), and the next summer and winter were the albatross that nearly relegated us years later.

Nobody can manage the ensuing mess, not even a four-time European Cup winning manager, unless recruitment is nailed on and it wasn't. It's us, but it's not the club itself. It's how it's been managed.

He's not worth that many points. Name a legend - SAF, del Bosque, Ancelotti...they're worth a lot of points, but never that many, and Rodgers simply isn't in their class.

Mad that Leicester aren't really talked about in the relegation fight. They absolutely nose dived end of last season, and haven't really brought anyone in.
Teams that score that much don't generally get relegated, so the general expectation is that Rodgers will be replaced by someone that can fix the leaks (Dyche?) and they'll grind out a finish above the zone.

I read that replacing Rodgers will cost them 23 million pounds they may not have, so that may be a wrongheaded assumption.

They're deep in the doo doo this season. They really need Maddison and Barnes to step up. Obviously Vardy's best days are long gone, and you can't really rely on Iheanacho or Daka to consistently deliver. I think Ward is rubbish in goal, as well. Big trouble. That said, if they did go down, I'd love us to go in for Barnes as he's been excellent for a few seasons now, albeit struggling in a poor side now.
