Today’s Football - 2024/25 Season

Don't we know. They act like they have never spent though and it's simply not true. They have constantly spent well for decades even in periods they were out of the CL.
Fourth highest spenders in the PL era only surpassed by Chelsea,City and Utd.

Not got the same return as the others in domestic terms but fluked 2 Champions league wins.

Definitely could have been a worse day for us results wise.

Theres so many poor, crappy teams and managers in this league, if only we could get a grip of ourselves and sort ourselves out, top half is there if we want it enough, it’s so frustrating.

Just looked at the table, Forest, Brighton, Bournemouth, Brentford, Fulham all top 10 and probably have a season of no relegation worries. As you say, so frustrating

Understatement of the year there. Manchester United have won the premier League 13 times, City 8 times, Chelsea 5 times and the rs once

Fluked 140m out of Barca for Coutinho as well 😂 but yeah I'm not saying they have spent like City and Chelsea but it's a complete myth they don't spend and as you say they don't have the return the other clubs do either.

They would argue that as they are “European Royalty”(do they boo national anthems when abroad?) that a CL win is worth at least 5 PL titles…even if you were not champions when you qualified for the competition.

Olympiakos and Barcelona capitulations have a lot to answer for.

When they beat Spurs a horse called Van Dijk won the Derby in the afternoon before kick-off,coming from a long way back to win in the last few yards…I knew the result of the game straight away after witnessing that race.

So what's your secret mate?

Have you taken up something more exciting like lawn bowls or synchronised swimming as a spectating sport?!

I watch non-league/Northern Irish or German second division football. Great fun.

Might do 2 or 3 more Spurs games this season for beer/mates. I don't go for the 'match day experience'. Last 2 games I attended I went to the bar at half time and stayed there.

Haven't watched a non-Spurs Premier League game all season.

They'd be wrong. They are a cup team that occasionally strings together a good league campaign which invariably results in them choking but they did get so far ahead that even they couldn't Devon Loch it once

It's a good way to stay level-headed and sane, I think.

My brother is also a Spur's supporter, and I approached him after tonight's match to have a civil conversation about Ange's future...
He basically told me to:
Go [Poor language removed] Yourself.gif
