i have the feeling that because he's been paid so much already in his career he doesn't have much to drive him on, people don't play football for the 100% love of the game these days - it happens.

think this could be a contributing factor - his constant one eyed moaning over the years is bound to spread a negative affect throughout the club where instead of looking at themselves and looking to improve, they constantly pass on the blame and start a "why always us" defeatist mentality.
