this is why i'm not sure on a name like keane. When it comes to being in europe/big games which could see us trying to qualify for the CL, is that really the right type of player? I know he's been at united, but he's never really had that big game exposure yet, it'd be a massive step up for him. A player like van dijk has played internationally, in the champions league, in the europa league, will have played in a league cup final possibly.
