Jason Koumas' son on the bench for them? Christ I'm getting old.
Not only did we have Koumas as a player constantly linked with us for about 20 years… but now we have the indignity of his youngest son turning out for the RS.
We really need to start creating pathways for the first team for our youth if… so we can attract this talent.

We've promoted Garner and Branthwaite, a certain winger at newcastle now, and Simms got a hat trick for Coventry the other night. It'd be handy if we had an out and out right winger (careful) waiting in the youth side to get a shot, because the first team has that opening. It's all that 'sliding doors' hokum, right place right time, someone gets injured or sold and suddenly a talent is promoted that bit faster and takes their chance.

Is he even any good or is he another over-hyped RS kid

Don’t know why they bother, you can buy whichever 11 players in the world you want, no one can compete with a team absolutely pumped full of drugs like that. Those kids could probably have PSG or Barcelona off away from home by a significant score and all the press would be going on about Klopp’s kids. Where’s Rhys Williams and Nat Phillips whilst we’re at it? Remember when they turned into Baresi and Maldini for about 4 months after being completely useless just to make sure they got top 4 then they went back to being so rubbish that no other prem team would even take them. How strange.
I've given up arguing with those who don't believe Liverpool are doping. They simply can't explain how out if nowhere Liverpool's form drastically improved. As I said it wasn't Klopps arrival, nor Mane, Salah, VVD or Allison's arrival that changed Liverpool's form. All other teams success could be explained by players moving to them, or their demise could be explained by a player leaving. Such as Arsenal losing Campbell, Seaman, Keown, Viera, Henry, Bergkamp, and Pires. How did TAA go from struggling against Plymouth at Anfield, to competing in Europe in less than 6 months. It took Baines and Coleman years to get to their prime, Robertson and TAA aren't that skilful they just run about a lot. Its worth pointing out Robertson only got in the team because Moreno was so utterly crap. It's why when they play anyone with any skill, they get destroyed. When players likd Barry, Eto and Rooney came to us, you could still see their skill, they just didn't have the legs anymore. Milner and Henderson were never viewed in the same league as Alonso, Gerrard and Mascherano. Nobody ever said "Yes lad Henderson and Milner are injured for the derby". They were viewed a utter no marks
Yet Liverpool have had more success under Klopp with worse players than they had in the past. Suarez and Torres could create goals out of nowhere, Mane just runs in behind same as Salah. Their forwards don't have anywhere near the same amount of skill as the likes of Rooney and Berbatov, Henry and Bergkamp, even Son and Kane. Klopps success at Liverpool defies rules of game.

You’d have to be complete naive fool to think all of this is just down to Klopp’s good management. I mean Henderson Milner and Lallana ffs.

There’s some good teams you can explain. Even their 13/14 team I understood, Suarez was an absolute phenomenon and they had pace in Sterling and Sturridge with him with Coutinho behind. It was too much for most of the league but they had a terrible defence and they got outplayed by the other good teams in the league in City Arsenal and Chelsea and lost games. They also couldn’t keep it going in all completions. Suarez then went on to be world class at Barcelona for ages and Liverpool under Rodgers regressed.

Then there’s the teams you can’t explain. Players who were only decent in the prime of their careers elsewhere Van Dijk and Mane at Saints, Salah at Roma, Firmino at hoffenheim, all became world class together and in Mane Wijnaldum Firmino and Coutinho’s case all dropped off as soon as they left.

Then how does a group of players good enough to get over 95 points twice in a row then post a season of points in the 60s, then go back to 90 plus to challenge for a quadruple, and then go back to missing out on the top 4? You don’t see prime Madrid Barcelona or City do this, even a bad season for Bayern is 2nd, but Liverpool went from the best team in Europe to struggling to make the top 4.

Two quadruple attempts in 3 seasons, 3 CL finals in 6 campaigns. No other manager in English football regardless of the money or resources they’ve had have managed either of these in isolation let alone combined in the same period.

Now we’ve got random kids no one has heard of coming out the academy running all over first team premier league players. Klopp’s been without Allison Alexander Arnold Salah Szobolai Jota for a significant period of time now. Why is it when you take even one of Ederson Stones Rodri De Bruyne Haaland out of the best squad in the world managed by the best manager they struggle to win, yet Liverpool are missing an entire first 11 and are just going around thumping everyone?

People need their heads checking. The game that I found most revolting was actually one they miraculously lost against Atletico in the last game before covid. Atletico were one of the dirtiest most physical teams in Europe at the time with top internationals in every position drilled to an inch by Simeone a brilliant manager, and they could barely get the ball. It was actually disgusting to watch, Liverpool players losing a ball and getting up off the floor and winning it back before an Ateltico player could even get their heads up. One of europes top teams resorted to just parking the bus for 90 minutes because they couldn’t put a pass together. Argentine Uruguay and Spanish internationals dominated by the hard running of Henderson and Milner. It was absolutely sickening to watch and no wonder Simeone celebrated like he did at the end, he knew exactly what had gone on. Anyone watching that game who thought Klopp is just really good at tactics need an eye test and a brain transplant

The man is the biggest cheat in football. He’s an absolute virus in the game. Laughing about how he doesn’t care about injuries before the Carabao cup final because he knows full well his C team could run over anyone they wanted anyway. He’s a narcissistic arrogant bell and fortunately precisely because he’s not as good as all his acolytes make out to be, even with the drugs he’s cocked up enough times against truly world class managers like Ancelotti Simeone and Guardiola to not win even more.

Don’t even put him in the bracket with Ferguson Wenger Mourinho Ancelotti Guardiola, he’s nowhere near them. Kick and rush merchant on steroids.

Garner and Branthwaite aren't homegrown, but I see your point.
The thing about bringing a couple of players into the periphery of the first team each season is that it attracts decent money when we sell them on for FFP. Simms last season was a good example.
RS do it, Aston villa have recently got good at this. They sell their top youth players at decent salaries but with buyback options. This is a savvy way to deal with FFP.
We need to regain our reputation with Rooney, Rodwell, and Barkley. The latter two failed to make waves on leaving, but they were all seen as big English prospects.
