If United win it this year, I won't know what to think anymore
it'll certainly overshadow Liverpool winning the league lol

Me too. If anything Moyes is pretty good at these 2nd leg things.
League shouldn't matter to them anymore, tbh.
They should be just playing for europe. Winning the Cl is the only thing that can save their season.
Thing Is this champs league is a cash cow full of dross teams until the last 8. About 10 great sides and a ton of cannon fodder. We where so unlucky / had off, to draw a fabulous Villareal that year. I still fume at the Collina @#$×!"BluenosePaul, post: 2591050, member: 24603"]Bar the first leg, United have been impressive in Europe which has surprised me.
going from champions to not being in europe would be one of the biggest travesties in modern football. you get the same for finishing 17th!
then again, it would help the new manager go for the title next season with their other 3 rivals all in champs league action
If united did get through to the semis i wonder when our game with them would be moved too.
Semi first legs are Tues 22nd and Wed 23rd - two/three days after our game is scheduled to be played.
Imagine wanting to see Moyes and co lift the Champions League trophy...
Just amazing. Not that they won, but how Moyes did his usual - once he had the finishing line in sight, he ducked back into his shell and hoped for the best.
They haven't got a prayer of progressing any further in that competition once a half decent side is drawn against them. That was a Championship/League 1 standard performance at best from Olympiakos, yet barring De Gea they would have went out despite that.
I think it would help everton if it did happen.
It would make Moyes much harder to sack which would mean Man U would be worse and it would knock one of the top 4 out of the Cl which would weaken them.
Anything that makes everton more likely to win trophies works for me.
