Hey guys, been a lurker on here and TW for a while now and I thought I'd finally break the ice. Born and raised in Connecticut and been following the blues since the 10/11 season after watching the 2010 world cup. The american connections of Donovan and Howard are what initially piqued my interest in the club. But, after watching a few games and reading into our clubs history, I finally noticed the blue hue my nose had. Loved Cahill's boxer celebration.

I've always been a sports fan. I grew up following baseball, basketball, and american football, but never had a connection with any of the local teams. I just enjoyed the games and wanted to see my favorite players succeed, never really supporting a team. Plus the only team I ever use to root for, The red sox, have been ruined for me now with the Redshite New England sports group connection. The mighty blues have changed all that. I gladly wake up at 6-7 in the morning on saturdays to watch our games and sometimes wake the family when I scream like a lunatic when we score a goal. Simply put, the blues have infected my system and the platelets in my blood have altered their color to a lovely shade of royal blue.

I've only been following EFC for 4 seasons, but boy have things changed in that time. Hard to believe we just dropped 32 mil. so far this window after all the austerity of the former regime. Christ, we couldn't even tie down Pienarr a few years back, now we're buying one of the worlds top young strikers and tying down our badasses like Coleman, Bainsey, and Ross long term. Haven't been here long, but anyone can see that something has changed at our club. The future looks bright and I'm freaking stoked.

Oh and despite any backlash, I am a proud and regular devourer of pineapple pizza. Stuff it the freaking tops!! COYB!!!!!!

Good post mate, welcome to the forum

@madkiwi Nah I'm a Philly fan, I can still remember the shame of walking into school after the pats edged us by 3 pts. in the Super Bowl back then…(consumed with melancholy for opening old wounds :(:p). Hopefully the blues offset this by winning the old capital one cup/Europa league double or the like.
