Few instances he got in really good positions down the wing only for him to turn around and look for the keeper. CRAP.

Fair play to Koeman. He stuck his neck out a bit by picking Cleverley rather than Barkley but, if people put their pre-conceptions to one side, they'd acknowledge that Cleverley was excellent today.

He wasn't flashy, and never will be, but he was very influential today. He'll probably start against Burnley and do the same again.

Worth a look at... Technically you could average out Tom's stats and roughly double them to compare the amount of mins Ross has played.

Great support - well done you! This aside If you look at his work rate today he will be arguably be near the top and while he will never be a flair player his work ethic influence was far greater than others. All about opinions but you should support whoever pulls the shirt on not hoping they have a poor time game to entertain a forum and its hecklers.
