Tom Cleverley

Even in a world where the Uk voted for brexit, and the US might vote a sex pest to be their leader, the fact that Tom Cleverly still gets a game for a premiership team seems mental.

Played in 44 games in two seasons under Red Nose at United and won a Premier League medal. Admittedly a lot of those appearances were off the bench but Ferguson, Martinez and now Koeman all see something in him which warrants a place in the squad and minutes on the pitch.

I think it's just become fashionable amongst Blues to say Cleverley's awful, when he's plainly not.

*shrugs

Honestly, he played well today and was decent against Palace.

He's been bloody awful for us some times, and if everyone else is fit and in form, then he shouldn't be a regular starter, but if he hadn't been signed by Martinez, was dog ugly as opposed to being a bit of a pretty boy, didn't have a drop dead gorgeous missus and wasn't paid a fortune for kicking a ball about then I don't think we'd see quite so much obvious jealousy.

If he plays against Burnley and is poor then I'll be in this thread saying so, but I'm not going to sl@g him off when he's played well just become some biffs* on the internet think it's trendy to do so.

*I'm not totally sure what a biff is, but I like the sound of it so I'm going to start using it.

I'm absolutely of the opinion that he's a nothing player, but the fact that he's picked on the basis of knowing how to fill space is a terrible indictment on others that people think should be playing ahead of him.

EFC were battered in the first half yesterday in midfield yesterday and really it is little surprise
because City have two top creative midfielders in De Bruyere and Silva, Cleverly is a free-transfer who
is not in the same class and who will be up-graded in time. Cleverley is not gifted in any sense,
has little pace, has no dribbling skills etc but he does run around and back up. Unlike Ross Barkley say.

But yesterday he contributed to a great away point at a team who is miles better.

Or a player who was in the middle of the pack in a game involving two of the best teams in the world. Like it was said earlier, Cleverly is a player that gets picked on for no reason other than his name isn't Gerard Deulofeo,
He was rubbish , ok lets get back to Cleverly he is a squad player , not good enough for the first team if we really want to kick on, not as bad as some say just average like I said.

You're making it worse! I wouldn't want you as my lawyer. ' yeah, sure my client is a nazi, and yeah maybe he's got a bit of child porn on his computer and, of course in an ideal world he'd have been isolated from birth for the good of society......but he does knock up a mean Victoria sponge so can he go free please?

Another squad player. Not the worst and will have his uses over a long season, but not a player to take us forward. The January transfer window can't come quickly enough.
