He’s one of us Davies, he might not be good enough at the top level, who knows but what we do know if when he’s on the pitch he gives a 100% and does not shy away. You can say the same for for of the other mercenaries we have or have had.

He’s a scouser, he’s a blue, he’s been at the club since he was about 7 years old. The lad needs to be backed and you never know, with abit of confidence the player he once looked like he might become might return.

I thought he did alright last night, I really don't understand how some people see that he has no quality what so ever and is not good enough for the championship. It's like because he came through the academy he can't be any good. we always have to pick on someone and hound him out of the club it seems, an element of our club that I really detest.

It's amazing Everton are doing so well with only 9 effective players in the outfield. Tom Davies is spectacularly sub-standard for the following reasons:
  1. He lacks the necessary pace for the premiership
  2. He ball control is, at best, barely adequate for this level.
  3. He is a poor tackler.
  4. He is regularly bullied off the ball.
  5. He gives away posession far too often.
  6. 90% of his passes are square or backwards so he offers nothing in attack.
  7. It would be flattering to label him Championship class.
The sooner Allan returns from injury the better. Clearly an understudy of better quality is required as injuries are inevitable.

He has actually been impressive this season in intercepting and winning the ball back... but woeful in possession.

Previously he has been tidy in possession and awful at even attempting to win the ball back. Him, Gomes and Sigurdsson last season was the worst centre mid I have ever seen at any level of football! Teams walked through us.

Useful squad player, but hopefully becomes less and less used as we progress. He really should have been loaned out 2 years ago to learn his trade. I think there is still time for a season-long long in the prem next season, someone like Burnley

It would be great to see a local lad do well. I'm sure he gives 100%. But has he improved in his nearly 5 years around the fist team. Still squanders possession in dangerous area, still misplaces alot of passes( think that is why people were gobsmacked with his long pass to digne) he has little body strength so is easily knocked off the ball and is easily crowded out. I'm sure everyone would back him if he improved an became an integral part of the team. But not good enough atm and has been poor most of the last 5 years

He’s isn’t good enough at the minute no, however he keeps on getting picked so he must be putting his all in in training, he always dosent shy away on the pitch an gives it his all. More than you can say for many others.

If he’s on there and giving his all then he should be backed, he’s one of us living his dream. The decision to have a go if you want to should be directed at whoever is picking him.

the lads been here since he was in primary school, no doubt gave his all to the club, and yes he’s been rewarded financially for it and so he should be. Imagine being his dad/mum/brother seeing what he’s sacrificed to get where he is today and his own people are slating him.

If he was putting in anything less than 100% I’d understand it. I.e Sigg etc.

It’s pathetic, get behind the kid.

As you just said he isn't good enough at the minute. Should we give him another 5 years to see if he will improve?

It’s bad, same happened with Barkley, people wonder why they loose confidence and get their head down and form goes out the window.

Half the idiots who have never kicked a ball in their life giving them loads.

His form isn’t good enough at the minute but he is as good as what we have there for the time being. Once Allan is back he’s out, I’ll tell you right now I would rather get behind Davies running his b@llocks of than the invisible man.
