Imagine this scenario, we are 1-0 up in a vital game, with 30 seconds to go.

Tom get's the ball on the edge of our penalty area. How does that make you feel?
Annoyed at the other 10 players for then going down 2-0. Never Tom’s fault for anything after all... lol

that's one of my favorite Everton photos, or any photos really... just spectacular.

Unfortunately I think that moment is an albatross for him now, it's something that he labors under. I wonder where the joy in his game is, even when he does something well there's no exuberance

Maybe a move away would be good for him. Has to be so much pressure as a hometown lad.

it created this expectation of what he is when in fact that isn’t his normal game I feel. Still got lots of time for the lad and always want to see him do well and break through that ceiling overshadowing him...

Been alright, on the whole, this season. Probably hasn't gotten the credit because of one or two bad displays. Every player has them though, and Tom's poor performances have been less frequent lately.

I do feel though, that with some of our fans, he's always one bad performance away from being labelled League 1 standard again.

Utterly quality goal, one of those moments were you think this kid could go to the very top.

Sadly, I think that kind of made a rod for his back.

He's showing a lot more consistency and reliability in Allan's absence though. I think it's to his credit that Carlo trusts him to be the deepest midfielder tasked with receiving the ball and getting us going.

He had a decent game against Wolves but sadly it's coloured by the fact he tamely gave away the corner that led to their goal for many.

Funny thing is, if the corner was defended properly, it wouldn't be mentioned that Davies lost the ball.
Godfrey's position and reaction is woeful, yet to some, he is beyond reproach.

It’s more so the way in which he gave the corner away, he kicked it off one leg on to the other and out for a corner with very little pressure on him.

Those types of Sunday league level moments happen to him regularly.

It’s the problem with a few of our players like him, Gomes and Iwobi. Capable of good things and sometimes make costly errors. I will be the first to admit that I had written Davies off but he’s put in a couple of decent performances of late.

Think that's a bit unfair, tbh.

That ball could have caused us some problems. I'm not having it that a player can be criticised for blocking a cross in our own box, leading to a corner.

The team had also been turned, as in we were facing our own goal, and there was an incoming ball into the box, so there was actually some pressure on us, y'know.
