Think that's a bit unfair, tbh.

That ball could have caused us some problems. I'm not having it that a player can be criticised for blocking a cross in our own box, leading to a corner.

The team had also been turned, as in we were facing our own goal, and there was an incoming ball into the box, so there was actually some pressure on us, y'know.
It wasn't even a block as such. More like a pass that he should have controlled looked up and played it out to a player (not an easy thing for him though). He messed up and is not very good

I mean, I've only seen it once, but it looked to me like he was trying to put it out for a throw.

Maybe if somebody had stopped the ball coming into the box, from the other side of the pitch, following the corner, then we wouldn't be having this conversation.

Nice to see a few sticking up for the lad.

He can't help the fact that he's average in every way, and we have moved on in terms of overall midfield quality.

A good point Joey, but I don't care if they come from Tuebrook or Tel Aviv.

I go to Goodison to see players excite and entertain me, sadly Tom doe's neither.
I never ever had him down as a defensive midfielder tbh he has a good game followed by below par game plays well in the England u 23s - DM may come information a bid ......
We best not give him away .........

If only Lukaku had touched that ball in. No one would ever have been arsed about Tom who could have then just gone about his business quietly.

He looked leaner 3 years ago thats for sure. Hes about as mobile as Jan Molby these days and reads the game about 10 minutes too late.

Like Kenny, miles behind the standard required to even be a squad option. Hopefully get 5m for Kenny, 10m for Davies and hope Gordon looks at these two and doesn't want to end up on the same trajectory

He may be sluggish on the ball and give it away quite a lot, and generally be not very good at football, but to give him his dues, he does constantly move to try to create space for the defence to pass it out.

A breath of fresh air compared to Gylfi playing there, walking around a 2m radius, pointing wide so that no one pass to him...
