1 - erm cup final, Chelsea....sunny day, a bit hot and stuff!
2 - Absolutely, the best example of what a professional footballer should be, no matter how talented they are! I have literally been in my seat worrying for the oppo player, when Hibbo has been ready to tackle! He was also a lot better at crossing than people give him credit for.
3 - see no.1

Doesn't he hold the record for all time European Apperances for Everton.

Part of the team that qualified for the CL

He used to annually have Ronaldo in his back pocket.

The lad served.

shocking comments from some. He wasn't saying he deserved a new contract, i don't even know why people have read this that way. He was just saying after 25 years of service, it would have been nice for our club to have told him he wasn't going to be offered a new contract.

This has nothing to do with him being paid way more and given much more service from us than he should have. Same for osman and to some respects pienaar, all 3 deserved a proper send off like howard got. Any player, even if only with us for one season deserves to be told of their contract is to be renewed. That's what this is about, not hibbert's bitterness at not being offered a new contract. Mindblowing how people came to that conclusion.

This thread shows that there's a lot of naive posters on GOT

Overly sentimental.

Too attached to mediocrity.
This has nothing to do with whether the club got rid of him or not.

This has everything to do with the manner of how they got rid of him.

You can refuse to accept mediocrity whilst still not being a tit about how you improve the overall quality of employees.

Jealous of what mate? Imagine being part of a club you love for 3 years playing hardly anything but earning 5m, then get released as many many players do and go to a paper to tell all, about how it hasn't been the people club since Moyes left
He didn't write up his own contracts did he, he wasn't keeping himself on the books, managers kept him there.

I don't see why people can't see that the club not having the decency to say "thanks for everything, see ya" isn't poor form.
