Drogba, Rooney and Van Persie are all better than him. Villa is better than him. Messi is better than him if he counts as a striker.

I'd put him on the same kind of level as Tevez, Etoo, Ibra.

Is he really? Van Persie is technically better, more imaginative, creates far more goals for his teammates, scores just as many as Torres, one of the best set piece takers in the league. I'd only give Torres a very slight advantage in pace and power, perhaps heading too. I'd have VP over Torres any day.

For Me, Torres has few equals, in terms of playing upfront, leading the line, he has few peers.

He's played the lone striker role all the time he's been fit this season and done it very well. Just because he has a better all round game than most players doesn't mean you can decide he's a support striker.

Obviously Torres is an exceptional player and he's definitely more of an out and out striker than Van Persie, but that's my point really, that's all there is to his game. He's not particularly good at holding the ball up, his touch isn't great, he's never going to play a defence splitting pass and you certainly wouldn't see him whip a ball in like Drogba did for Kalou against Stoke the other week. He's just a goalscorer, whereas if you look at Rooney, Drogba and Van Persie, they all score shitloads of goals but do all the other stuff as well.

See now Drogba and Rooney are different again, they can both hold the ball up and both have amazing strength, although sadly Drogba prefers to dive on the floor like a big girl most of the time.

Mine would be Rooney and Torres.

I didnt say Ibra, cos lets face it, hes a lazy sack of [Poor language removed] and has 1 good game in 10, still amazing when he can be arsed tho.

Nah Torres is definitely one of the best strikers. Whichever club he moves to, it will be such a coup for them. Liverpool basically rely on his presence.
