Tottenham woes

Nebbiolo

Valuation: £108 million
Well despite yet another [Poor language removed] result for Everton and even more woe at the back, at least we're not rooted to the bottom like Spurs.

What is it with this club that each year is tipped to break the top 4, yet consistently fails to even come close to doing so?

Thank god that we're not Spurs (the new Newcastle?).

Just goes to show. When our own club were getting abuse for not spending any money, and we were afraid that spurs were going to run away with their team, that it is never the amount that you spend. It is how you spend it. You can have as many decent players as you want, but if they don't play as a team then it means nothing.

On a lighter note, Martin Jol is probably laughing his cock off now.

It is amazing. I thought they'd added some real quality to their squad in the summer but they've had a horrid start. Got a decent coach too.

They did, yet lost an established strike force. I think Berbatov and Keane were vital for their push this season. Ramos is a good coach, though. But then I rated Jol quite highly as well.

He's top of the Bundesliga with Hamburg, so yes, he probably will be.

Thats what I mean Vim. He was sacked for spurs not instantly being at the top of the table. The irony of it all is priceless.

Good on him to be honest. If Moyes ever left us I would welcome Jol in a shot.

Wigan is a quality side and a much better team. They are the ones who should be disapointed with a 0-0 draw.

My favorite sports pundit, Bobby McMahon, summed up Spurs perfectly: "It seems like Ramos is trying to build a team that could win LaLiga."

In all honesty, they better spend some money in January, because I can see them going down. Look at the competetion they'll have at the bottom: Stoke, Hull, Bolton etal. These teams are all going to physically beat the living [Poor language removed] out of Spurs.

Spurs started out this poorly last year if I recall and finally got it sorted.

I don't expect that it will last much longer.

Commentator made a point during their match - Spurs haven't been out of the bottom half of the table since August '07...

They've got a tricky fixture next week against a Portsmouth team that will come out with a massive point to prove after getting hammered today as well as away to Newcastle midweek in the League Cup with perhaps even bigger issues.

Ramos could easily be sacked within the next 7 days.
