We've played a grand total of one game this season, yet for some of our 'fans' the apocolypse is already here.

Can we really expect to sign half decent players if this is the way they'll treated? It's unfortunately a problem that has persisted for a long time, with no sign of it abating.

It's not his ma's fault he's such an abysmal footballer.

While comments like this are uncalled for, they are part and parcel of social media. Especially when companies and celebrities started using it as a marketing tool.

If people go looking for validation from complete strangers on the internet, they've got to accept vile abuse from the weirdos as well.
 
I wasn't at the game but it sounded like we should have won by the sort of scoreline we get away at Brighton.

If the fans keep behind the the team we might win several games by a Brighton margin.

(BTW the grammar used in the reply above doesn't look local to me?)

The abuse coming from the stands where I was sitting was ridiculous, luckily was sitting so far back they can't hear it (but saying that I guess it was the same all around). Scousers have a passion for the club/football that make it special and that should never be taken away but I just wish the aggression could be tempered. I hope none of our fans put the abuse online but those sorts probably would.

We were 20 odd minutes into a brand new season ffs and it starts.

Nah, there is a point where those types of isms have been removed from public and private institutions and you accept that is as far as is practicable in a free society, trying to eliminate every bit of individual bad behaviour on the internet is a one way street to an authoritarian dystopian nightmare.
