could it be the old everton - man ure links? or that we have a few ex scum on the books in nevs and howard?

if we get him, we will have a left footed winger (richardson) and a right footed winger (vdm) although no cover for either.

another thought has just come to me, isnt neville an experienced left back? im sure he recently played there for england.

and heres a 'touch of the walters' i reckon hibbert could do a similar job to carsley in that he can tackle as good as most of the best and is quicker than cars - although in both cases passing ability in somewhat a lottery.

The Richardson price I am sure is because moyes has one of those "gentlemans" agreements from a few months ago when they agreed 3 mill for Richardson if they chose to sell and we agreed to buy. I heard the price offer from a credible source back then. Maybe this was agreed to weigh out the appearance fees from the rooney deal that they would have owed and we get richardson instead of them so they can keep all their fluid funds for the signings they have been making. Just a hunch.

theres a possible deal there, like - roll over at goodison and i guarantee you an international for the equivalent of pennies. but i doubt that also.

with johnson up front and those two quick wide players, we could cut other sides to pieces - especially with artetas cultured distribution.

From what I saw in the U21 championships, Richardson's left peg at pace is awesome when played in from wide, very similar to arteta's from the right. Could exploit so much space and Cahill's noggin on the end of them will be very effective.

yup, with vaughan chomping at the bit on the sidelines to come on for AJ when needed or to start as a 4-4-2 when the game determines. with cover for most positions as we have a few utility style players in jags, nev, arteta, all in all, not as bad as people may think.
