Everton keeper Iain Turner is wanted by Championship strugglers Sheffield Wednesday.
Owls boss Brian Laws is prepared to pay £250,000 for Turner, who was on loan at Hillsbrough last season.

The shot-stopper is currently in talks with a view to a permanent switch in the next transfer windwow.
Turner has struggled to maintain his place in Kevin Moyes' Everton side and is prepared to drop down a division to get regular first-team football.

Don't belive this one... even if he's currently 3:rd in the peckingorder he's still young and should fight to improve. Going on loan is one thing.. but can't see us selling him for such a paltry amount.

He is in the Wrongy mould, no great loss I'm afraid, good luck lad and thanks for trying, Ruddy is better.

Ruddy is supposedly the better of the two young keepers, Wessels signing unlines DM's lack of faith in both(y)

I rather see a signing of Wessel as a wish to have two experienced goalies if one get a longterm injury. Neither Turner or Ruddy is ready for the PL each week. For a game, perhaps, but not constantly.

Hopefully, seen him a number of times including for the reserves.

Don't rate him at all.
I agree he,s been poor when i have seen him but he is only young.
I remember giving simonsen a lot of stick but the last few times i,ve seen him on tele for stoke he,s been brilliant.
Maybe keepers do need more time than outfield players.

I remember Simmo at Tranmere and he was real class, Walter sorted that one out!:dodgy:

We have been a graveyard for young keepers. Gerrard, Simonson, Wright were all tipped for great things when they signed for us. All turned into chumps. Amazing that Chris Woods still has a job really
