Finally got round to watching Lupin on Netflix. Not brilliant but engaging and entertaining.

Is The Walking Dead worth watching? I gave it up around Negan (season 5 I think?) because the characters kept getting ridiculously quirkier by the episode and I couldn't take it seriously. The nail in the coffin was the guy with dreadlocks and tigers. Does it stay on that course or does it get a bit more grounded?
So I've watched the first 3, now disclaimer, I haven't read the books so I am coming from a completely different place to you, I can't pick holes in it so forgive my ignorance. First though a big plus is they've kept it darkish and adult and not gone the way of Shannara and Sword of Truth that really were botched and butchered.New Wheel of Time show. If you have read the books, it is a dumpster fire. If you haven't then I don't know if it is going to pull you in. The acting is mediocre at best, the CGI is poor, the dialogue is riddled with exposition and poor writing.
They're already working on a season 2 but I don't see it going further than this. I'm quite disappointed with what they've given us.
Why are the kids in it basically adults?! Completely taken away the Loss of innocenceNew Wheel of Time show. If you have read the books, it is a dumpster fire. One of them was married to start the show. Why are the kids in it basically adults?! Completely taken away the Loss of innocence
and let's not get started on that jumper lolOne of them was married to start the show.
There's changes and cuts that can make sense for an adaptation to tv or movies but they're really stretching some of the important parts of the characters for me.
I don't think they really had too many choices to make with the tone as when you start getting into the story there are some moments that really do show the level of destruction the ones with the power can bring. There's one book scene in particular which usually gets everyone to sit up and take notice and question the brutality of it all.So I've watched the first 3, now disclaimer, I haven't read the books so I am coming from a completely different place to you, I can't pick holes in it so forgive my ignorance. I don't think the acting is too bad, Rosamund Pike is normally pretty good. The cgi is what it is, it's high fantasy so hey ho a bit of leeway I suppose. I also can't really comment on the writing as I can't compare it too the books. Altogether I have enjoyed the first 3 episodes I was dreading it being like Shannara.
I hope it gets better for you, I guess it's a plus for me not having read the books with regard top ythis tv series, I've been meaning to read them for years and I might when I have completed mistborn and stormlight archive(I know you know what I am on about)
