I thought series 2 was pretty poor to be honest. Gervais is very hot and cold for me.

A lot better than expected, and a lot better than I though it would be after the first episode, which I had a few issues with (the deer being the major one). From there on it was quite good though!

The constantly hanging out of Dune is grating too, the Mando episode paying homage was well done. Unless they're subtly ribbing the star wars fans who insist George Lucas was original and not heavily eh borrowing from others.

I know what you mean, but we have seen this aesthetic in the prequels.....no comparison as those films are absolute garbage.....but there are similarities here.
