It's simple - any two digit number that you chose and subtract like that will end up a multiple of 9. All the multiples of 9 are the same gift, and changed each time so it seems like she’s reading your mind but it’s a trick.and two digit number that you chose and subtract like that will end up a multiple of 9. If you subtract each digit from a two digit number it will always result in a figure that is a multiple of 9. The gifts for the multiples of 9 (18, 27, 36 etc)are all the same and all change randomly. There are a few variations. Clever though.
