UFOs over Merseyside!

i reckon they are ufo balloons, i got some off ebay, basically made from a white binbag, a bit of bbq/fire lighter, a bit of wire.

i set one off on a clear night and it headed off towards manc at quite a pace, you can see them for miles and it was a good 5 mins before it was out of sight, got past astley easily. next one went in the haydock park direction and again was still going when it went out of sight.
theyre quite dear on ebay but once youve seen them its easy to make your own, i paid about £10 for 10 then bought some mig welding wire on a spool for £5 ,a big roll of bin bags and some bbq lighters.
they are an idea copied from thailand & china and look might impressive. my arl fella has a helium bottle and i was gonna launch some balloons with nightsticks in (blue of course)if you tie them in a big line they dance around in formation.

i might do a load tonight after the footy if its a clear night, so look for the papers tomorrow.

You could be right there, mate. There was a UFO scare in the village I live in. People talking about it for days. It turned out to be Chinese Lanterns.

The simplest explanation is always the best!

Thats spring field park just behind alder hay. I live about five mins away!! Gutted i did'nt see that. I like stuff about UFO's, scary [Poor language removed]!!

BUT SHARPY they aren't ufo's , they are binbags with a lighter cube hanging under them, the heat fills the bag, the bag rises and cos its white it glows. ive made them , they are a great party piece . get some mig wire from fords, push a piece (the diameter of the top of the binbag) through the cube to half way, another through the other side. attach it to the bag by pushing it through the bag and doubling over (all 4 wire ends) get someone to help by holding the bag, light the cube, hold the bag out so it doesnt get melted, it will quickly inflate from the heat and start to rise, hold onto it so it gets a bit fuller and then let go, it will shoot up and light up as well. if i can find the instructions i got i'll scan them, you have to try them, especially so close to john lennon, listen to air-traffic control at the same time(y)
 

hey mcbain, i went working at a place in the western subs where they were building some big radio telescope where apparently they are listening for activity in space andbroadcasting all kind of weird signals in the hope of making contact, it was out near mcquarie university somewhere.
best bit for me was that the old lady in the canteen had left england about 50 years before and said, "when you speak to your mum on the phone, tell her that you are being given a hearty breakfast every day, she insisted on me going into the canteen everyday for an enormous full english, and all for free " good on ya (y)
the breakfast was only surpassed by the canteen at a dupont paint factory on the parramatta river, they were removing all the soil there and cleaning it as it was contaminated with lead, food there was awesome and we spent more time sleeping the grub off in the kingswood than working(y)

finally the world has woken up to me, you should all take my lead and have an abusive "kopites are gobshoites " ringtone, wear 80's iconic fashion labels and not give a toss about anyone else except fellow blues, i will accept the plaudits and donations of free travel to uefa away games to regail you with my anecdotes.
