Been appointed caretaker manager of Preston, loads of talk last night Moyes was "nailed on" for that (dunno why??)

i loved his particular brand of delicate and sublime tackling

 That's one way of putting it.

To be fair, he looked class when he first broke into the team under Joe...England cap too. I've seldom seen a career stall as much as Unsworth's. Gave a 100% though and would run through a brick wall for us.

Are we talking about the oil tanker that used to play for us?
Silky smooth ball skills, very light footed and inch perfect passing - what more could you ask for?

And I'd put my life on him scoring a pen! None of this farty placing bollocks a la yak/louis

Didn't he score like 30 odd and only miss 1?

Compared to how we regularly miss pens these days, that's an enviable asset.

As far as my memory serves me, the only penalty that was saved he scored on the rebound. Do correct me if I'm wrong

My old man told me he never missed one, but then he has a penchant for hyperbole. Either way, it's phenomenal really.

Preston shouldnt have sacked Irvine he was doing quite well even if things had got a bit stcky for him when the bullet came for him.
