I’ve watched this trailer a silly amount of times now and there are definite hints that some of the zombies have evolved or something else is going on as opposed to them just being rabid like in the first two.

Like these two. First one could just be an off the grid human but the second looks like something different.

😂 I’ve done exactly the same. The only thing with the scene that makes me think they’re human is the rest of them seem to be dancing or doing something not coordinated but it’s not just them randomly screaming and running at somebody. It makes me think it’s possible a group of people that have become almost feral. I do agree that big parts of the trailer make it seem like the zombies have evolved though.

Edit, watching that scene again they are running but they seem to be standing around, then running. Some of them put their hands to their heads like they’re fighting some internal thought. That one figure is definitely just stood there watching though.

Also the music/soundtrack to the trailer is this which is interesting.

the bleakest thing in that entire 28 years later trailer is the opening shot of that grim looking housing estate.

Why as a country did we build such hideously bleak and depressing looking housing ? It’s a uniquely British look I
I got the train to Manchester this week and I winced at all the horrible Soviet-looking towers. So dystopian.

Ugly architecture is an actual problem as far as I’m concerned, particularly on this scale. It has a psychological effect on those who have to experience it. It’s reflective of the degenerate times we’re living in, and the general malaise and fall of Western culture.

It’s not uniquely British either. Post-war Europe is full of it. I think Britain on film just glorifies it for some reason, something to do with painting a bleak atmosphere for their story (Trainspotting being a prime example). And no matter where you go, in the UK or outside the UK, you get this horrible templated blocky design for every Starbucks, McDonalds etc. It’s all about being as cost efficient and inoffensive as possible and it’s depressing.

Not being British I am fascinated by the endless rows of terrace housing and tower blocks, tenement buildings etc.

Modern block architecture is horrific though, it looks cheap, bland and devoid of any personality (for lack of a better word)

This is what you call a bleak housing estate? Would love to live where you're from then.

Yh, defo gave me the impression of them having the makings of a basic society.

I find this scene really interesting. All the other figures are really agitated, the one I’ve circled is perfectly still though. Likes it’s weighing somebody up. It’s strange because if these are zombies they’re pretty reactive. For one to be standing still and observing is a little strange. I think these are either people or some of the zombies have evolved and that’s their leader
It's was one of Christopher Ecclestons lines in the first one to observe the infected will sow no crops or form no societies, to last 28 years perhaps they have.

Look's promising.

From what I`ve read, a select group of critics have been allowed to see it and they`re saying it`s that good, that it`ll become an instant classic.

The cynical part of me, wonders if they`ve cherry picked " pet critics " to give it glowing write ups.

However, it does look like it`s going to be very good and everything that Nosferatu should be.

It's got 30 critic reviews on Metacritic with a score of 82. Doesn't seem like a particularly select group so I'm hopeful that isn't what is going on.
