I love his robust style of mixing, sprinkled with a little skill and pace. The boy smacks of prem class. If he can improve his composure and fininhing we will have a true quality player on our hands. Im amazed at his age he could be in the under 21's for the next three years.

An air of caution though i think he will need to be in and out of the team next season because a) He has never played a full premiership season before b) Other clubs will be more aware of him and his game c) All young players suffer from a lack of consistencey and loss of confidence at some stage in their development. So lets be paitent with both him and Vic.

I have to say i find it a little bit worrying that we are talking about being fine upfront next season with the emergence of Vic and Vaghan. Personally i belive at present we need the large compliment of strikeing numbers we presently have so both Vic and Vaghen can come in out of the team sporadicaly and be protected in their development.

God everton strikers are like buses remember this time last year!

ive been impressed with agbonlahor at villa, youngster that has played before carew and young - quite an achievement.

As for vaughan, i hope he stays injury free, because i was gutted for him last season. He can certainly step up, there were a few loan enquiries in january so he is obviously hot property.

on a related note, yobo is playing in a nigeria (?) eleven for kanu's heart foundation game - i would have thought it nice if he could have given victor a shout, but then i expect kanu will put a call into henry and bergkamp to play for such a noble cause.

anyway, good look to vaughan, have we any other players in the under 21's? kissock possibly?
