Aston Villa still have a chance of playing in Europe next season - via the Premiership Fair Play League.

Tottenham lead the table, which is based on the number of red and yellow cards, positive play and respect towards opponents and officials.
But Spurs may qualify automatically for the Uefa Cup so second-placed Villa, who are 11th in the Premiership, may end up in the Fair Play draw.
Nine other European clubs are competing for the final two Uefa Cup places.
"It would be a lovely boost for everyone, if it happens," Villa boss Martin O'Neill told The Sun.
"Clearly, qualification is not in our hands so we will have to wait and see." Villa have one Premiership game remaining - a visit to Bolton on Sunday.

Hate that rule.

So in other words, before Villas next game, they will be told "dont worry if you lose, just dont get any bookings".

they obviously dont have graham liver poll reffing their games, the deaf [Poor language removed].

Fair play draw my arse, [Poor language removed] me next you will be able to qualify for europe just for selling the best pies or having the funniest mascot. :dodgy:

if it was us then i would take it. even if it is a [Poor language removed] idea. but we allways finish near the bottom of that league i thought that might change this year with no dunc but saddly not.

well, if we sign barton, imagine how the referees will treat him, playing for Everton and being a player of ill regard, duncan ferguson syndrome all over again.
