So Villa are fielding a very weakened squad tonight, thru injury and resting players...

Whats the point???

Woy of the RS, said on radio it cost him 7 league places last season, effectively defending the fact that Villa appear to not be interested in the Europa League...

I bet these 'injured' players recover in time for the weekend game against the barcodes.....amazing...

It seems ashame really as I for one would love to be in the Europa League. Going to european away games and raising our club profile is always a great way to attract new players, and / or investment (squabble amongst yourselves).

I'm all for trying out a few youngsters etc, but there is a limit

Remember when they dropped their whole team basically, for an away trip in the UEFA (think it may have even been a second round or quarter final maybe), only to get knocked out, as they were in search of 4th in the league??? They didn't get 4th, and got put back in the UEFA Cup the next season....

Surely they should have just said, we don't want to bother thanks. After all that effort of another season, he must have been dissapointed finishing in the UEFA spots again

I loved Thursday night football on 5, however bad the commentary team were! It was an extra 5-8 or so live games on TV!

Come on Villa! Lets get behind them so that they have more games to play, perform badly in the league and its another chance for us to finish above them.
