Violence at the games

Said it last night, I wonder if most of the English fans fighting are the ones who are not actually going the game but simply there to cause trouble.

Or in another way, cheap trip over, make France English for 3 weeks and in their drunken and titish behaviors , decide to kick off as well.

The Russians were just as culpable but as has been pointed out there's a huge problem with the behaviour of a large amount of England fans when abroad. Some utter whoppers went looking for it over the past few days and sadly some who didn't took the brunt of their actions.

Too many English fans behave like lamentable bellends on foreign soil in xenophobic pack mentality.

Definitely not saying the English fans are innocent but their history of hooliganism have made them a target and was always gonna kick off in France. Didn't no-one watch Danny Dyers' football hooligans international...

Fighting between Irish/Polish getting attacked by french scalls,Turks targeted by Serbian/French ultras,English against French/Russian hooligans a link in all of them

Personally I think that there's more to it than the media are showing. This piece by Stan Collymore was interesting:

I don't think all England fans are angels- far from it. Especially as it's so close a few less desirables can obviously make the trip a lot easier. But I do think it's easy to point at the English as the trouble makers in it all

There is definitely a degree of State assistance for the Russian ultra groups out here. Back home their actions yesterday will be viewed as another display of growing national strength. It's funny how the Ukrainian SBU have been assisting the Schengen nations in denying visas to a lot of high-profile ultras/groups but the top table Russian lads all got out there without any hitches.

But absolutely agree that the shirtless plankton from our provincial towns take bellendery to new levels every time they go abroad and the sun comes out!

Uefa warns England & Russia with expulsion

Breaking news from elsewhere... Uefa has released a statement saying that Russia and England could be thrown out of Euro 2016 if their fans are involved in more violence.

The Uefa executive committee said in a statement it has warned both countries that on top of any sanctions over trouble in Marseille this weekend, "it will not hesitate to impose additional sanctions on the Football Association (FA) and the Russian Football Union (RFU), including the potential disqualification of their respective teams from the tournament, should such violence occur again."

Zangief and co will have already got the word that their mission is accomplished - no need for further grief in the ground as itd also mean they'd probably lose the World Cup if they get turfed out of this.

I suspect there'll still be trouble in the city centres but unlikely in the ground itself.
