Lad can’t cross to save him life but he does seem to be growing in confidence every game and now he’s got two of the best ever prem LBs to coach him into fulfilling the potential that’s obviously there

it weird he is standing so far away from the opponent while trying to prevent a cross. He needs to get closer and use his physical advantage to disrupt play.

Standing a few yards away watching the ball is not the way to defend in this league.

This is my main gripe with him so far. There are some good positives too though & he has quite literally the best people to teach him.

Really good, nice platform for him to build on with the coaching staff, will certianly of learnt a bit more about Everton today

Better today. He really needs to whack a bloody cross in every now then eh lad. That said, defensively he looks quite solid which is certainly needed more so now than the other side of the fullback game.
