Wages Leaked

YEr seen them before, im surprised beckham is only on 71,000 though, you would expect him to be on 100k +

The real scary bit is if we are going to break in to top 4 we will have to pay similar wages:huh:

Can't believe Kewell and Darren Bent earn more then Beckham that's shocking that is.

God Darren Bent and Sol Campbell must have great agents.

If Sidwell makes about 60K a week then that means Ribery (who isn't on the list) may only make a few thousand pounds more (or makes less, yikes!). Nice piece of business by Bayern there.

I think Beckham has his own image rights or something though that bumps it right up.

He's on £128 million over 5 years... (£26.5m a year... that list says Kaka is the highest paid on £7m a year)

You get people paying you £40 a week to watch you live, or a few hundred a year to watch you on tv. Multiply those by several million and you get those kind of wages.

Its not to late Bruce swap your heros outfit for a soccer one:lol:

Ha! are you kidding Brucie doesn't worry with all the royalties from his movies and DC comics books as I see it he is sitting pretty flying under the radar.

What is really worrying is that we spend 75% of our turn over on wages according to the club accounts and by that list we are not even in the high payers bracket.

Its worth keeping in mind when we expect the club to spend millions on transfers.

i find a lot of things on that list surprising, i'm guessing that doesn't include endorsements etc, which is where players like beckham make most of their money.

can anyone verify that these figures are correct?

yeah, endorsements are where the big money is... Beckhams contract is laden with merchandising from shirt sales etc. Michael Jordan was the best example. Even tho they have a salary cap in the NBA (obv he was still gettin 25mil odd a year) he made even more (like 3 or 4x) from nike and a bunch of other companies to endorse their products. Nowadays even top rookies (ie LeBron James) can come in and even tho they're capped at 3mil or so for the 1st few years they can still get 100mil deals from nike/addidas/coke etc.
