I am looking for a bit of advice regarding my annual water bill. I need to know if any of you guys/girls pay for a full twelve months? For the last three years i have had to pay for this duration yet everyone i know only pay for ten months not having to pay in February and March. I am asked to pay £22.89 on 1 Apr 09 then 11 payments of £27.86 totalling £329.35 for the year. Anyone feel this is too much or is the total correct? Any advice would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

Thought it was only council tax that you had 2 months off.

I pay 10 months, but pay a bit more a month than you. Our water bill comes in at around £31 a month.

Im on a meter here and the bill comes in every 6 months averaging 280ish per bill with 4 people living here.

I'm not quite in your borough, but pay around the same as you.

They want to put us on a water meter here, but the existing pipework won't support it - I now have a choice of not having a meter and paying around £32-ish a month or installing one on my property and apparently will pay around £28-ish a month.

I'm thinking I'll stick as it is for the sake of a couple of quid.

I don't understand these companies though - apparently we pay for 'in' water from one water co. and 'out' water to another, which is why the bill is so high according to one of the companies, because we're covering 2 companies! Either the woman I spoke to on the phone is talking ****e or it's grossly unfair!!
