Natures power unleashed, big waves fascinate me and the guys who get to surf them experience a sensation that probably has no equal, thay search the worlds hotspots for big swells that give them the waves they crave. well with the internet you can see them in all their glory and even see them live on webcams.

if you've never seen any of the big wave surf vids then have a look 'cos you will be amazed.

Waves are pretty, but for me the real big thrill is skydiving and those guys who bungee into ravines and caves and ****.

there was a film on a while ago, i think it was called 'riding giants'. all about the origins of surfing in hawaii and how the scene expanded. i think one of the california 'breaks' is called 'mavericks' or something similar where a hawaii veteran tragically died. odd what you remember. oh yeah, some guy surfed a 50 foot wave having beed towed onto it by jetski. pretty awesome, if he fell he was deader than disco.

saw a thing about "maveriks" and the guy that 1st surfed it.

it was mark foo who died there and it is in northern california.

R.B..o.G. I used to be in the Merch' , and yes , Ive seen the Biscay with a proper cob-on . Makes those foties look like Southport ( it doesnt get waves , for those abroad , etc ).
Used to get bladdered , go on deck , often in darkness , and " race " the wave . This would entail waiting for a biggy , but a second before it hit , you attempt to race it along the deck . Fukn insane , by the way , but a lunatic buzz .
Waves , yeah . I get them too .
