WTF is going on. So he was a great player, an he's a top name. But why appoint him? I don't get it. Why dont prem teams ever bring a british manager from the lower leagues. We done it with moyes an it worked for us.

Probably because they want someone who will run the team and lets the likes of Gianluca Nani choose which players they will bring in. European way of managing so to speak.

In think it could turn out to be a good appointment, he was a top player and he'll be able to attract a better calibre of player to West Ham. He also preaches good football which the West Ham fans like to see.
