First 5 or so spins (so to speak) I was kinda meh. After that I liked it. Listened about 30 times already and now I absolutely love it.
Right up there with Father John Misty and Kendrick Lamar for best albums of the year so far.
Not sure if it's their finest album though. Too hard to say this early on; I mean it's been six years since their last, and I still find new things to love in No More Stories, Frengers etc. I will say I'm not sure that there's as much intricate detail as in some other albums, but then I might look back and laugh at that comment, as it's still unravelling even after 30 hours of listening!
Basically it's ace. Not going to rank it on the Mew Chart of Aceness just yet, but I absolutely love it
