Simple thread really, what motivates you in life?

The obvious answer for some will be their family - understandably - but what else?

I tend to have an unhealthy determination to excel in everything, which definitely provides me with underlying motivation. Though it can undoubtedly be a weakness in causing anxiety in new situations where I don't think I am able to achieve highly and not only that, if there's no room for development, the motivation dwindles.

Apparently you and I were seperated a birth, Danny...same for me. I should add that yes, money is also a motivator for me. This is mainly because I want to be able to travel a lot once I'm retired and we all know how relatively *cough* inexpensive that is.

i suppose my motivation comes from .......the pursuit of knowledge , proving people wrong , bettering myself and my world (not in the material or financial sense), and lastly boobs.

Gotta be my little lad, just born 6 weeks ago, can't wait to take him to see the blues when he gets older. Ive already got him listening to Zcars, he seems to enjoy it.

2 mates dead and the rest on the gear looking like skelator and going fcukin nowhere, that's all the motivation I need.

On a serious note, I used to be very competetive when I was younger, untill I had my accident.
Being the best at what I did was all that interested me at the time, and I would put 100% into everything, or not do it at all.

Now, my motivation has changed to my little girl, and making sure she is safe and happy.

When you get older, you become less selfish and more responsible.

You know what has always amazed me, its not this simple I know and there might be outrage at my thinking, I know it boils down to mainly people with issues and all that crap, but if somebody says to you :

"Here take this drug, its ******* amazing, but you will look like death warmed up, you will want to rob old grannys for their pension, all your friends will turn their backs on you, you will steal from your family, you will become a stain on humanity and you will die a very horrible death in a squat with a needle sticking in your arm"

Would you take it?

But I feel you brother, got a few ex mates, clearly, that have gone down that road, baffles me it does.

I want a new job :)
Can someone give me one with challenges, room for expression, resourcefulness, and opportunity?

Pay me what I'm worth, and allow me to still have a life? :)

Alan Sugar types may apply.
