What the Hell is happening to Everton?

Martinez took over a side that was finishing 5th/6th and he managed to replicate that feat during a 12 month long honeymoon period. He has subsequently totally mismanaged our squad, and we have been set back years a result. That honeymoon period has gone, and the likes of Lukaku and Mirallas have now seen enough to want out, they don't want to wait around and see if Roberto Martinez can undo his horrendous mismanagement over the last nine months, they just want out.

Everton are capable of getting a manager better than Martinez. Martinez is not the best that Everton can manage. Loads of managers would be interested in taking over his job, loads of them. But if you are pushing for specific names, then I would say Steve Maclaren, Mark Hughes, even Moyes.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and I will respect yours. Just for clarity, you are saying that McClaren and Hughes are better managers than Martinez, and secondly you would prefer Moyes to return than keep Martinez?

No he didn't. He buried Moyes with a 72 points total. Moyes never ever got near that. And we played football that had everyone in the country talking us up rather than down. Moyes gave us a terrible football reputation.

Yes, because despite his not so vast array of chat-up lines, Martinez has an inferior managerial record to Steve Maclaren. Hughes is a good manager as well, he's a big name with a big reputation that won't stand for any messing, and he's doing a good job at Stoke, not like Martinez who is taking Everton back years and specialises in talking crap all day long.

It's all because of the badge/crest. We complain about it and then have a record year. We get it changed and we get pummeled in the rear. Serves us right for complaining about everything. Our manager is garbage we say, our defense is garbage we say, striker is a knob we say, all Osman's fault we say, Turn we say, the Old Lady is done we say, played him out of position we say, the queue for food/drink is absurd we say, where's the money we say... Love to see us win every match, win the league, get to Champions league, win it, win trophies of any kind, but FFS I just love watching Everton play the game, regardless of the roller coaster of frustration and excitement.

Haha....you think Bobby has had a bit of stick.
Love to see the reaction these 3 bueats would get.

Moyes 4th place finish with a squad that was favourites for relegation is an achievement that far surpasses that of Everton's 5th place finish last year.

Moyes gave us our pride back, Martinez is undoing all his good work with a style of football that is more boring and negative than ANYTHING put forward by Moyes.

Yes, because Martinez isn't a beaut at all. Christ, Martinez is the KING OF BEAUTS!

And besides, it isn't one's 'beaut' status that determines the proficiency of a football manager.

65 points isn't that far away, like.

I have to agree, Martinez talks utter nonsense, `assymetric shapes`...... . I think the relegation worry has gone, but looks like its all falling apart, medic staff leaving, players wanting out. I would look to get Laudrup in the Summer. Fair play to Martinez though, I think he `finally` saw his error in setting up the team, and that it would not work, ...... ever ...! so grudingly concentrated on defence and made us hard to beat. We were unlucky against Chelsea.

I felt no pride with the hoofball Moyes saddled us with. None.

He's a barbarian in football terms.

Laudrup..... Who for some reason left every club he's managed. We need stability in a manager not one who will go when he wants.
