Top 3 in the Premier League got automatic CL place. From 4th down to 7th should be play offs for the fourth team to be in the CL. This way we get a bit of excitement at the end of the season. 4th place would play 7th and 5th play 6th in two legs, just like the football league, the have the final at Wembley.

Could be a compromise to the 39th game idea
 
the 1st 2 cl spots should go to the champions & the fa cup winners, imho, so your play-off would then be between the teams finishing 3-6 in the table. a good idea but it won't happen as it increases the chances of a non-"sky 4" team getting through.
