The rankings are irrelevant mate, once you're up to ten green bars it's all the same to the average cat.

Come on lids. It's little coloured boxes. If anyone bites at an anonymous comment then they're setting themselves up and really shouldn't be on the interweb.
The genuine Sniderman was ace because he targetted those who were acting tittish, therefore causing uber-popcorn and their dismissal. And we all sat back and loved it.

I think the system should reward everyone with positive rep, even those who are somehow unable to make intelligent, reasonable, well-considered arguments on their own.

In all honesty it's a decent system.
If only for the fact that it gives you a way to pos rep people who do make good points, or people who make you laugh. Sometimes you agree with someone, but have nothing to add, so instead of quoting them and saying "this" etc, you can do it in a less spammy way, through pos rep.
