I had my rear tyre repaired a few months back, and the muppets at the garage put on a wheel nut that I had no unlocking mechanism for.

Any advice?

Don't attempt to change it in public. If another member sees you struggling to change it you will never hear the end of it.

What do you mean?

I need to get it changed because I need to change my tyre.

RAC won't come to my house because I have roadside cover and not home.

Nick it will have to be welded off mate. Unless you can get a new key for it. Same thing happend to me. Took about 10mins to weld off. Pain in the arse.

I had the same problem, was struggling trying to force it and a2bchris took full advantage to take the mick on here

Needs to be forced off if you can't find unlock mechanism.

Get someone to tow your car half a mile from where you live. Then call RAC.

Theres a great Fiat forum which have helped me out in the past, might be one for your car?

Ignore that, its a universal problem - doh!
Put something like Liquid Wrench on it. This includes the threads and the base. Tap with a hammer (tap, not beat), let sit ten minutes, try to remove with your regular lug wrench. 1a. Put more liquid wrench on it and let it sit for a few hours.

Just take it into Liverpool and ask anyone you see walking by.
They'll have it off in about 5 seconds, and will probably be able to upgrade your stereo for a few quid too.

Seriously though m8, why haven't you took it back to the garage that put it on?
If they can put it on, they can take it off. Do you have other nuts?
