I've a feeling that this might descend quickly into a discussion about smut and achohol but...

The question I wanted to ask is: When are you happiest?

For me I've got these items on my list:

- Saturday or Sunday early evening/late afternoon, I'm in the kitchen getting the family meal ready. Radio with the match on (test match in summer), glass of wine as chef's privilege. Children playing or watching a dvd in the sitting room. Bliss.

- Going for an early morning run in the Oxfordshire countryside where I live. Me. The dog. Ipod. I get to the top of the local hill and pause to get my breath - the countryside wreathed in mist. Peace.

- Arriving at Goodison Park. Homecoming and memories of my childhood. (y)

- Picking my children up from school. Together again.

Any takers?

When I'm reading a story to my kids.
When I'm playing guitar
When Everton score (as long as it's not an obvious consolation goal)
When we have friends over for a meal, especially a bbq.

I don't know if Trebilcock came across this as well, and it prompted his post, but the RSA are doing a survey to find Britains 5 a day happy things, akin to the 5 a day fruit and veg rule. It's called Mind Apples - Mindapples

Anyway, mine were:

  1. Riding my bike
  2. Going to the gym
  3. Have crunchy nuts in the morning
  4. Walking the dog
  5. Listening to music

When diving in warm water with clear wiew - lazy diver

Skiing in deep new powder snow

When going to bed and know that i don´t have to go up to work the day after(y)

Just before i am about to have a good night with the lady.

I hate to think what your sex life is like if that's what it does to you

On my way home from work stopping off in my local park for a three mile walk each day. Nice park clean, quiet and the trees block off the town views.

Saturday morning breakfast, my one non-healthy treat of the week.

Picking up my wife from her work and going home together.

Any time im with my daughter.

Sitting down on a Friday night with a hot curry an a cold beer.

On the way to a game.

When im just about to get on a plane to go somewere good.

1. Picking my kids up from Nursery/School and they are ecstatic to see me kinda makes my heart leap
2. Walking with my kids on a trail or in a forest and pointing things out that they are amazed at
3. Hearing jokes from my kids that are so bad they make me laugh my head off
4. That last day in work before a long holiday
5. Sleeping in on a weekend and hearing my missus and kids downstairs making me some 'suprise' breakfast ;)

apparently according to mrs b.o.g. it's when i am unhappy/moaning.
i would say oxymoron to her but it would be lost in translation from english to whatever it was they taught her in Skelmerslovakia.

i was happy just when i bought a Diamond Back from from go outdoors for £109, put my name on it , whizzed home to check prices online £229 , I MIGHT GET THE MISSUS 1 AS WELL(y)
