Where will Everton finish 2023-24

Going for an optimistic 15th, on the assumption that we do end up getting a further striker in and don't lose Pickford.

Striker + Gnoto and I'll go for 9th-13th, only a striker 14th-17th, no striker relegated.

Danjuma isn't a striker, but he'll hopefully be a useful addition.

I know it's only pre-season but I watched some matches over the weekend and Fulham, Brentford, Villa and Newcastle all looked like they'd play us off the park atm. Hope I'm wrong but I can't see anything other than another relegation battle with the current squad.

I always find it amusing that so many fans of all clubs always believe that if they make 2 or 3 signings they will jump up the league the following season on the basis that they have improved their squad from the previous year. There never seems to be an appreciation that all other clubs are trying to improve their squads too. The clubs that finished in the places above Everton last year will most likely be better next season too.

No, not like me. Villa are improving the squad during this window and in a way I can't recall us ever doing so before in that we are going for quality not quantity and I expect Villa to finish lower than last year's 7th place. Chelsea and Spurs had a blip last year and I don't expect it to be repeated but I live in hope that Kane joins Bayern.
 

The persistent lack of attacking options, and our struggles against lower league opposition in pre season have me concerned. Still a month to go in the window but we need to get moving as we could have a good start with the fixtures we have got. Wasted opportunity if we don't bring in new faces

Not sure I am seeing much over confidence if we make no further signings we are in another relegation scrap. If we sign two forwards of quality and another CB we will be ok but I mean like 12-15th. Ultimately our defence and midfield are lower mid table our attack is lower Championship. We improve the latter we should be ok but it's a big IF.
