With BT, Killa and Nace now consigned to the history books we Evertonians have an unfortunate ability to pick a whipping boy in almost every team we have had, who is the new target for justified or unjustified abuse.

Ian Turner, he makes mistakes has to be said, remember Utd

Hibbo, he must be in the frame due to the fact that when he does a cock up it is always a good'un that cost us dearly. Even as I write some threads are appearing in EFC sites having a go at Tony

VDM, most on here know that given the chance I would whip the crap out of this Dutch waste of space and send him packing, that said if he does one decent bit of football in the game the crowd will want him to do more.

Big Vic, some are having a go at him already although he is so young. If he enters a scoreless streak like a certain some on then they will have a go a Vic.

I would much prefer that the crowd always supported the boys on the park and had a pop at them when the game is over, we all know that will never happen so who do you think will get it in the neck?

Neville or Hibbert.

The really vicious part of me says "deservedly so" - especially for Phil Neville. He doesn't justify the "guaranteed start" for me, similarly I thought the same for Mark Pembridge under Walter Smith. How that ugly little turd lasted so long in an Everton shirt I don't know.

Forgot about Nevile, he may just about take the flak off Hibbo:)

I think if Ossie goes on a cold spell he will become everyones whipping boy. I still have high hopes for him and he always scores at important times. Great first touch and second only to Arteta in skills. Seems to have a bad wrap for losing balls easily and his small stature. My only beef is he likes the middle of the park to much and has had spells were his shot is not strong enough to test the goalie. I love both Hibbo & Ossie because they are academy boys and don't have that primadona pedigree. Most feel they are only squad players at best and rarely name them in their first eleven. I think regardless of what most think Moyes knows what Ossie brings to the table and he has to play himself out of the team. Which I think is very commendable. I do think you will see Pienaar and Ossie switch out a lot this year. When we need some width in our play Pienaar will get the call.

I have a hunch it will be Jags. People have already slagged of his performance at right back. I feel that he is going to be moved around and therefore never settle into a position. Having said that I have heard a rumour that we are going to resign Claus Thomson so it could be him!

bloody hate that word, ban it, ban it!!!!!!:P

Neville - lot of people never liked him.
Hibbo - until he scores that goal.
Osman - being bundled off the ball.
Yobo - when he goes to sleep.
AJ - when he fails to score for a Beattie-esque number of games
Jags - utility player, don't like them, do we? But Neville takes the heat off momentarily.

Personally speaking, I'd rather have a Killer or a Rhino than a fancy foreign mercenary who doesn't give his heart. Even if it is sometimes inelegant.

And I was quite shocked to read of Big Sam's interest in Phil Neville although I can't really picture him wanting or being allowed to leave.

One of these would get my vote.

Osman if he stop getting the breaks and score once in a while. He's weak and not that good a dribbler either.

Hibbert unless he learns to cross better. Good tackler, when standing up, but need to improve his offensive play as well.. not just the defensive one.

its already hibbo, remember all the teams people posted and he struggled to make the bench!

The new whipping boy is obviously VDM. Why d'you think Moyes keeps him around? Takes the heat of other candidates. Watch, we're less than 2 weeks away from the next VDM incident - this time he'll be drunk, and breakinto his own house and steal his own dog (or has that already happened?)
