Sandwiches taste better when they are cut diagonally? I cant eat boringly down the middle butties anymore.

I reckon its because of the bread to crust ratio.

So are you a triangle lover or rectangle aficionado?

It depends on the content. Fillings like ham & cheese or tuna salad sandwiches are ok cut into triangles. Chip, fish finger and sausage butties are best cut as rectangles.

As a rule then sandwiches are triangular, and butties are rectangular.

Rolls are above any rules though as a roll is adaptable to all fillings.

One last thing, triangles are rubbish for dunking into soup.

???????????????????????????????????

You got a magic knife?

Googled scientific view:

The connotated inference that a unique shape will deliver a better flavour is purely psychological and the better flavour is merely the product of the imagination of the eater of the sandwich

Its all the same to me cut whichever way, or not cut at all. The best sandwiches are always those that you pack to the roof with stuff, then force them into your mouth. You cant do that if you cut them :P
